Through a Japanese Lens

Michael Hoppen Gallery proposes to bring a Japan-focussed select to AIPAD in 2020. These will range from newly released works by young Japanese artists Sohei Nishino and Yusuke Yamatani to a group of vintage prints by post-war figures such as Masahisa Fukase, Minayoshi Takada and Katsuji Fukuda. We will also have a special focus on a rare group of vintage prints by Hiroshi Hamaya which will include images from his best loved series Snow Country as well as rare works made in China.
