For the inaugural edition of Paris Photo New York, Matthew Marks Gallery will present an exhibition of works by our most esteemed and important photographers, both significant figures from the twentieth century and innovative, contemporary artists working in the medium today. The booth will draw a link between the works of historical artists like Robert Adams, Luigi Ghirri, and Peter Hujar, with more recent photographic work by Thomas Demand, Darren Almond, Nan Goldin, and Andreas Gursky. Presenting at Paris Photo will also allow us to show the photographic works of artists better known for their work in other media like Peter Fischli / David Weiss and Robert Gober.
