The Garden

Weinstein Hammons Gallery is pleased to present The Garden by Erik Madigan Heck. The Garden depicts Heck’s wife and two young sons in a variety of richly colorful surroundings. The photographs draw upon Catholic iconography and other mythical pictorial traditions to develop a color-based narrative that pushes the aesthetic possibilities of a photograph. The Garden will be published by Damiani in Fall 2020. Erik Madigan Heck is an acclaimed fashion photographer and artist working primarily in photography, painting, and film. In 2019, Heck had solo museum exhibitions at The Musée des Beaux-Art in Le Locle, Switzerland and The Multimedia Arts Museum in Moscow, Russia. He is a regular contributor to The New York Times Magazine, TIME, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, and Harper's Bazaar. Heck is the recipient of the International Center of Photography’s Infinity Award, the FOAM Fotografiemuseum talent award and the Forbes' 30 under 30 award.
